Inlaws Underminding me ALL THE TIIME!
My SO's parents live with me now. My DD is 14months old. They give her anything and every thing to eat. From Oreo's to Soda. I tell them DONT give her Soda. They think Mixing it with WATER makes it better. No, No it doesnt in my book people. STOP, I tell them DONT... The next day... I see a sippy with water/soda in it. So then they think okay lets mix Kool Aid and water... Better than soda. But still NO. Not okay in my Book. She needs Water ONLY and Milk. I say it with a stern voice and look them in their Eyes. They dont take me serouisly or something? I have no clue. I tell them i dont want her eating Chips. They give her Chips. What ever i say dont give her, they give her!!! I dont understand how i can make them see that i dont want my child eating all that unhealthy food. They sometimes even give her "tastes" of alcoholic drinks. Its not what she needs to be eating and drinking. They never listen. I tell my SO he needs to step in and say something and he does sometimes. But they dont listen to him as much either. The really effing sad thing is my SO and his dad are home alone with my DD all day long. (i work) and he's there not stepping in when he tries to give her that stuff. I am coming to the conculsion that my SO's dad is the one who watches my DD most of the day. Wich is a whole different situation. BUT as for my IL's giving my child things i have said Repeatedly not to, i have no idea how to make them realize im serouis. Stop. Your arent just pi$$ing me off but you are hurting your grand daugther. I cant just kick them out but God knows id love to, and i am so tempted to threaten then fact. But i dont really want to burn bridges or be that mean about it. They have no where else to go.
