Wedding Woes

New to the Knot and partially bald...need advice!

Hello fellow knotties!  my boyfriend of 5 years just proposed on V-day and we are getting married this labor day.  I've been battling brain cancer off and on the past 5 years - most recently had surgery and surgery last spring/summer which has the top of my head partially bald.  I'm trying to think of ideas of how to cover up the bald spot on my wedding day since a veil, pin or head band won't work.  Anyone have any ideas or run into similar issues themselves or with family members??

    Lace front wig?
    Track extensions?

If you use extensions/wigs get high quality and have it colored to match your hair as closely as possible.

    First, congrats on your engagement.

I'm thinking you could do a pretty vintage hat with a cage veil. Pair it with an antique lace sheath dress and you'd look very old-hollywood.

I'm sorry to hear about your health issues.

There are a ton of options out there. It sounds like extensions would probably work well for you. I would start asking around for hair stylists in your area that do a good job with extensions.

I second the vintage hat and cage veil. Or the wig.
There are tons of options out there, so don't lose hope.

I was also thinking vintage hat with cage veil.

Not to be blunt but how large of a bald spot do you have and how long is you hair.  i have alopecia areata and as soon as my husband proposed i guess i was feeling stress and pressure and i began losing my hair. By the time the wedding came around i had a bald spot on the top of my head about 3 inches big. I was succcessful with wearing my hair up and no one noticed. I had the lady who did my hair look at my hair before the wedding to let me know what we could do and try diffrent styles so this could be an option for you. Good luck and i am sure everything will work out and you will look wonderful.
