I'm not in Germany! (yet)

(linky)

I was on the plane whose wing hit the other plane.  They couldn't rebook me until this afternoon, and as you all know, I didn't exactly cry myself to sleep over it.  It's strange to see my flight in the news, though.

Yesterday was like a bonus day, since we were all planning on me being gone already.  I made a big breakfast, we walked the greenway, then went to the pool after lunch.  Maddie was so wiped out that she took a nice, long nap yesterday afternoon, which allowed time for some bcbc.  I'm still not super thrilled to be leaving today, but it's a lot better than it could have been, and it turned out to be a great weekend.

Your turn!  Weekend?

  • Mine was fun and productive. Somehow though I forgot to buy groceries for the week. No yogurt for me today :(

  • BTW - You're welcome. I totally paid a pilot to "accidentally" bump another plane. (kidding, FBI, I know you watch us to make sure nobody is being mean to somebody else)

Seriously though, I'm glad you had a good unplanned day with your family:)

I've never walked the greenway. I am ashamed.

  • Thank you, BC!  I knew you were connected.

We usually do the Four Mile Creek/McMullen Creek/Lower McAlpine Creek Greenway, but parking is always so scarce.  When we couldn't get a spot yesterday, we tried parking in the lot off 51 and were pleasantly surprised to find plentiful parking AND a shadier trail.  We're thinking that might be our new favorite spot.

Here is a photo of the damage my plane's wing did to the other plane's tail:

  • Weekend was good.

We did a local festival Saturday and then Autumn stayed with the grandparents and H and I went to dinner. I had a kick ass steak. I want steak again. I think it's my new craving. Then we had some awesome bcbc.

Sunday we had breakfast and then I picked up Autumn. The IL's came by for a couple of hours and then we went to a friends house.

He knew Autumn couldn't swim so he got a ton of sprinklers and some plastic from Lowe's and made a giant slip n slide for the girls to play in. I thought that was really sweet.

And let's talk about 1- this swim suit is super cute but 2- why can't I take a pic without her striking a pose!? she is 5!

We got home late and then I had to clean the bathrooms because I put it off all day and of course we have a showing this AM.

  • It was good, but tiring.

Friday night I went to the gym, picked up food for dinner and started baking for the bachelorette on Saturday.

Saturday was the gym, then getting my hair done, then home to cook for the party. I had about an hour to sit on the couch to put my feet up before having to go to my friend's house to set up, and then the festivities began.

The food turned out awesome and the girls had a blast. The guys ended up crashing our party around 10:30 for dessert, which was a nice surprise.

Yesterday was Yoga Rocks, breakfast with the IL's, the Verizon store to order a new phone, Home Depot, the mall, church, our DVR breaking and a birthday dinner at Bonefish Grill.

Throw in some cleaning and some laundry, and no BCBC, and it makes for a very tiring weekend.
