Orly?

Just got an email from the "senior class officers" about our 10 year reunion. They started a group and emailed everyone in February, and said that they'd have plans made by the end of March, as to when and where we would be having it. March, April and May came and went, and people were posting that they needed to know the plans (a lot of folks live out of state), so they could plan for flights, etc.

They just decided to have the reunion at probably the shattiest hotel on the side of town we went to school on (I guess I get keeping it on that side of town, but it's fairly crappy now in general, and this place is definitely crappy). 4 months for that? And they need $40 per person, by July 3rd, if you're coming. People are PISSED.

I just think the whole thing is funny. I hadn't planned on going anyway. I don't like most of those people, and the ones I do, I keep up with. And I get that the officers all have their own lives and such, but there's no excuse as to why 5 people needed 4 months to throw together something that seems to be "last minute where they could accomodate everyone."

My class president set up a FB page for the reunion, and promised to have everything set up by the end of April.

Here we are the 2nd of June, and nothing's set, but everyone's complaining that they've already made vacation/harvesting/rodeo/family plans and they don't know if they'll go (they all will). I think it's hilarious.

Nice! That's funny that it's not just my hs.

I take it you're not planning on going either?

Hell no. I'm not buying a plane ticket to go see people who I hated in HS (who all have decided they mustmustmust be my FB friend).

I know. I don't like the group page b/c people keep trying to friend me. I'm FB friends with maybe 20 people from h.s.

Hell, people have been "keeping things light and drama free" <----- That was actually a status I've seen, with other classmates, due to the upcoming reunion, and not wanting to step on toes. HEE.

There must be something in the air, because I just received a bunch of FB notifications for my 15 yr reunion.

    I'm still not going.
