Wedding Woes

What do you think about my situation? Venue stress!!!!

So I am trying to plan my wedding which is going to be in Idaho (I'm from CA, my fiance is from ID so we decided to have it there), and it's a bit challenging trying to communicate with vendors as it is let alone the added stress I'm going through with the venue I want.....

My fiance and I picked the venue we wanted about a month ago, and I told the event coordinator at the venue that we wanted to book our date for June 16, 2012 (which she said is available), and I wanted to book it right away since I know JUne is a popular month and I didn't want to risk the date being already booked.  The coordinator told me she would send me the contract so we could make the down payment a month ago, and I have emailed her a couple times reminding her to send it to me, and she just keeps saying things like "sorry I've been busy, I'll get it to you this weekend..." (which she then doesn't).

I understand she's busy, but I don't like that she's promising to get it to me a certain date and then not.  I told my fiance I was starting to get the fear that she's waiting for someone to ask for June 16th who has a bigger party then us so they can get more money, and that's why she's not sending it (we are only having 30 guests).  So i emailed her saying, I realize you've been busy so haven't been able to set up a contract, but can you at least assure me I can have the June 16th date so I can continue planning and booking vendors?"  and she said "no one has shown interest in JUne 16th yet....so I think it will be fine".  My fears started to grow since she didn't give me a definite answer.  My next reply: "Do you think we can give the down payment so we know we have the date for sure?"

So far, it's been a week and no reply.  She'd been replying to my emails quickly before, I feel that she hasn't emailed me becuase she doesn't know how to get out of me putting down the down payment.  I'm getting very stressed since I know many venues are already booked, and I really want to make sure I have a venue.  What does everyone think?  Do you think I'm right and she's waitingfor interest from a bigger party, or am I looking too much into things?  Should I just move on and look/book a different venue?
