back when I worked as a CSR, we did phone and internet accts.
There was *supposed* to be a 'scramble password' button on accts for non-payment, etc.
But it didn't work well.
We had a vested interest in collecting $ (1% comission. Which is squat but REALLY adds up) so when the scramble button didn't work, we just changed the passwords manually. (and then would change them when they called and paid)
For the record, if you ever get your password scrambled due to non-payment, may I reccomend you try all of the following:

There were more, but those are the ones I remember using often :-)
