Obviously I travel a lot. The airline I travel the most sent me an email saying they are running a promotion that if I buy a club membership I get 5000 bonus miles (that count towards my elite status for next year) and it's only $375.
So currently I do not have a membership. The perk of the club is that it is quieter than the terminals, there is more room to work, they have light snacks and beverages for free. At my home airport, there are three clubs so provided I got to the airport early enough, I could sit and do stuff.
Part of me just wants the miles. I think I could be able to write off the membership as a work expense. $375 isn't bad to pay, considering I'm on 10-14 flights a month.
