Wedding Woes

Wedding Wall!

Am I the only bride who has hit a wedding wall from time to time?

I've been planning our wedding in small pieces and working on projects when I have time but it seems like anytime I complete a project and I like it someone else comes in with an opinion totally opposite. For example, I made a invite mock-up and I was super excited about it and I thought it came out great. I sent a picture to my mom and she's like well its nice but this and but that. I know my biggest problem is that I'm a people pleaser but still is it to much to hope that something I do will gain approval. I am trying to please myself, FMIL, FI and my mom. It's just to much somedays . . I think I have hit a wedding wall for today.

Anyone else?

  • I did not have that problem.

But why don't you step away from the wedding for a day and IDK, do something else?  Take a walk, read a book (that has nothing to do with weddings), go to the movies...etc.
  • Nope. I didn't ask my mom her opinion, I asked the guy I was marrying.
I made the decisions about what I liked because I am an adult.
  • I have a wedding wall.  It is the wall in my bedroom where I have been pinning up wedding ideas since I was 8 years old.  I usually bring boyfriends in around date 3 to review the wall and see if they make the mistakes of making any "corrections" or freaking out.  Thankfully this one hasn't run away yet but he says he wants to wait until our 6 month anniversary before getting engaged. LOL!

    I *heart* you Zsa.
  • Not really, there was times where I didn't feel like doing anything wedding related but we didn't really solict outside opinions on anything so that made it much easier.

  • I can't even get people to give me their opinions when I want them.  All I hear is "it's your wedding, do what you want!"
