Future Step Son Gift????

My Fiancee has a soon to be 7 year old son. I love him to death and he is my kid in my eyes. I am saying my own vows to him before I say them to his dad, but I need to give him something to make him feel incorporated into the wedding. I would like to give it to him when I say the vows but I do not have to. This need to be something personal but nothing sappy because he is too young. I have always told him he is my little man and that I love him to the moon and back, I hope this helps you help me!!!!!

I think something like Legos would be a great gift for your step son. However, I'm confused about saying vows to him. I know that it's a thing now to include vows to children as part of the ceremony, but I think that simply mentioning your step son in your vows to your FI would be enough. Any more would seem like undue pressure for such a little boy during a stressful time like a wedding. As it is, your step son will get the message that you love and accept him from your every day actions much more than vows he likely doesn't fully understand. Of course, this is just my 0.02. Please do whatever you feel is right.

My stepson was 5 when H and I got married.  We found him a flat silver disk pendant that we engraved with his name on side and our wedding date on the other.  We also got a 4 leaf clover pendant to go with it and put it on a chain.  I gave it to him during our ceremony. 

We wanted him to have something as a keepsake from the day.  It was just as much about DH and I getting married as it was about us becoming a family.
