I'm glad you posted that about apraxia, because the more severe forms sound closer to what we've seen in Niece than her current autism diagnosis.  I'm far from an expert, but apraxia sounds like a much better fit.  So I appreciate your posting it, I'm going to mention it to DH, who will most likely mention it to his brother*, and maybe it will help his daughter.  Thank you.

    I'm glad it helped.  It is possible that she has both, but it certainly won't hurt to explore.  If she's of school age the evaluation and treatment would be covered.
