Wedding Woes

Vanity Confession

I'm having a skin tag type thing on my shoulder removed.

I've had it for years, but it became raised when I was pregnant. I'm embarrassed to wear tank tops.

I've never had anything removed before, so I have no idea what to expect.

I used to have those in my armpits, and it made it hella annoyign to shave.  It's just a little zappy zap.  :)

Expect itching, depending on how big it is.

I finally convinced H to snip off a tiny skin tag on my neck, also a fun byproduct of pregnancy.  I would have done it myself, but I couldn't really get to it and see it.  It's such a HUGE relief. It didn't hurt or anything, but it was ugly and bugged me.

Skin tags are way easier to remove than proper raised moles.  If derm doesn't think it's a cancer risk (or you didn't DIY), they might freeze it or just take a little pair of scissors to it.

I've had moles removed and it was really easy and painless for the small ones.

My sister DIY'd one with vinegar somehow and it grew back 3 times bigger, so I've been spooked to try.
