have you seen this?  WANT.  maybe not $250 want, but want.  i've always hated the multi-colored version, but i love this.

the only downside -- when it's in actual use, it's covered up.

You would have to use it to hang shoe strings or something to keep it on display.  Or maybe just call it art and forget the hanging of things.
