Which would you pick?

DH still wants to buy me a promise ring.  I looked online and found a few that I like. I don't want anything that looks big and flashy or too cheap...just something casual that I could wear most days on the right hand.   Thoughts?

#1 white gold & sapphires:

#3 White gold, opals & diamonds:

I love the sapphires or the green amethyst.

Opals are my favorite but unless they have great fire, it's not worth the price of them nor the risk to them as they are a really fragile stone.

Does it have to be called a promise ring? We need to give it another name.:)

Honestly, I'm not a fan of any of them.   They seem more like purity rings then promise rings, even.
But I'm sure they look better in person!  :)

I like calling it a promise ring. But instead of it being a promise to get married ring, I think it should be a promise to do the dishes, rub your feet, and take you to dinner once a week ring.

I love the green amethyst, but I'm partial to green so take it with a grain of salt.  They are all pretty but that's my favorite.

I'm open to other suggestions. I've really only looked at Overstock and that is it.  Price range is under $150.

Really? A promise ring when you're already married?

How bout a "I love you and you deserve jewelry" ring?

#2 is my favorite, but would prefer it in the blue topaz.  The opals are pretty, but it's not an everyday sort of stone.

Id go for something big. That way I could shake my fist at H if he ever got out of hand. You know, like a pimp.

I like #2, but it sortof seems "QVC" to me.  Not sure why - maybe the tiny diamonds on the sides?

#1 is my favorite, but I have a sapphire right-hand ring that has sentimental value. And it's my birthstone. And I like the deep blue.

Somehow I'm seeing you needing rubies, though.  Find anything red and awesome?

And definitely check places like bluenile.  Heck, even Jared!

I like Min's "promise to do dishes" ring.  Or maybe it's an "I promise I won't forget about you while you leave me the hell alone during your vacation" ring. :)

Do you like antiques? HeritageJewellry (.co.uk? Maybe? I'd google) has a divine collection of antiques, most of them very reasonably priced. Or there's a repro company whose name I can't remember now - No! Faye Cullen, IIRC. They're nice, too.

I've been calling it a promise ring because when we walked into a jewelry store and gave them our price point they directed us to the case labeled as the promise ring collection.
