MIL has been here half her life. She knows how to get to Costco just fine, but she was too afraid to drive to the local hospital where SIL spawned demon nephew.
LOL at "not sending my poor immigrant mother out among the white people." It's crazy, but MIL acts like Americans/White People/Anyone NOT Portuguese are the "foreigners"
