Yes.  We took DD to a movie at 2 in the afternoon at the cheap theaters when she was 2 weeks old.  She slept through the whole thing.

We haven't tried taking her back though.

When we went to see Miami Vice several years ago I counted no less than 5 infants in the room at a 9pm show.  I didn't care about the crying as much as the blasting loud noise destroying their little ears and brains (and mine).

    Nope.

Bacon's first movie was when she was about 4, and she didn't like it; it was too loud. She's still not a fan for that reason, and considering I have gotten headaches from the volume at the movies, I can't imagine it's healthy for an infant.

The noise was a big reason why we didn't/haven't taken the kid.  I do know that a lot of theaters have quieter matinees that they don't turn the lights down as much for.  I've seen this advertised for autistic kids, but think it would be great for any kid.

The reason I ask is that MIL invited me to breakfast and a movie with her friends tomorrow. I had plans already, so I wouldn't be going any way.

Basically, just another excuse to see the baby and show him off to her friends.

Autumn went to her forst movie at 2.5-3.

Someone took an infant to Up and the kid was screaming during the really sad part. Parents were just sitting there, not doing shiit. I told them to take the baby OUT as other people that paid to see the movie would like to be able to hear it.
