How do I address and invitation to someone that is currently separated from their spouse? Mrs. *** and guest? Or should I invite both of them?

    Definitely do not invite them both. Invite only that person or that person plus 1.

    Do you want to invite 'and guest'?
    Because if you do, you aren't inviting the spouse, you're inviting whomever this person brings...spouse, 2 dollar hooker, new BF, whatever.

    If you want to invite both of then, you send each of them their own invitation.
