Wedding Woes

When you have someone in friend limbo....

Can they see everything you post, or what?

There's this girl in choir who is trying so.fcking.hard to be one of the "cool kids". She's so socially awkward it's painful to watch, but honestly, it's so excruciating to listen to her try to tell jokes or stories that I'm not even inclined to pull her aside and help her out.

She sent me a friend request last night after the choir party, and I don't have the heart to deny it right away (like I said to my friend Aaron last night, "I'm only a bully to imaginary internet people"), but I'm wondering what shows up in her feed if I keep her in limbo.

I should have told her to like my page instead, and then at least I'd have another fan.

  • As long as you have your stuff locked down, unaccepted friends can't see it.

  • Ditto DG... I feel bad ignoring requests too, but thn again I like my stuff private with certain people.
  • Ugh, she's already subscribed to me. I didn't even think about subscriptions. Grr.

  • BMom, you can lock down the subscriptions too, so that they require approval to subscribe as well.

I know there was a big hoorah a few months ago that choosing "Not Now" meant they could still see your status updates, but I'm not sure how true that still is with the new privacy settings.  You can also lock her down individually so that she doesn't see anything of yours.  I have one friend who I love, but we don't see eye-to-eye on religion, so I locked her out of my status updates b/c the fight isn't worth it to me.  The little sprocket will help you set that up.
