I bought my dress at David's Bridal and at the time of purchase, the manager said that my purchase included one free alteration.
Fast-forward to yesterday, I bring my dress in, get measured, and am told I have to pay for it. Hold the phone! What about the free alteration?
I didn't get it in writing, so it didn't happen. I can swear up and down, give names and dates, and they absolutely deny that they promised me a free alteration. My fiance was with me and he heard it as well.
I'm not hearing things, I'm not imagining things and I'm not lying. They said they'll "partner with customer service" and get back to me at 4:30 today. In other words, I'm screwed.
1. Get everything in writing
2. Avoid David's Bridal like the plague. They WILL lie to you and try to rip you off.
3. See number 2.
