So far this summer, we've had a cop run down motocyclists at 11 in the morning, drunk, killing one of them and severly injuring two. They were stopped at an intersection and could not move. The left turn lane was WIDE open and he could have used it to get around them (from witness accounts). His blood was tested two hours after the fact and he was at .19 BAC. They threw out the drunk driving charges because he was not taken to a court-approved facility to have the blood tests. There's been rallys the past three weeks (since the incident) downtown Indy. People are PISSED.
Second, we've had another cop shoot his gun in his cruiser during an altercation with his girlfriend.
Third, another cop has been charged with over a dozen arsons. Five buildings and countless cars.
Fourth, it just came out today that a cop covered up a hit and run because he was drunk.
We also had a local sheriff steal a couple thousand from the county's petty cash fund to supposedly cover gambling debts. And a top commisioner of the state police resigned over accusations he stole $$ from the toll road fund.
WTF is going on here? Seriously.
