None of the providers were willing to work with me.

This is irritating. I mean, discounted medical care isn't probably something I would want, but it would be nice if someone gave me a break.

I'm going to get at least three more bills. Maybe I'll get lucky then.

    Lame. I find this very rare these days, but maybe it was just an off day.

    I need to make some calls later today or tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some better luck.

    I shouldn't complain, I'm not dead.

    Although, when I think about it, all of this money could be going to fun stuff or savings, and I would prefer that.

    I guess I should just concentrate on my not being dead.

    That's a big fat bummer.  I'm surprised they didn't offer at least 10% discount.  Our hospital has a standard 20% quick pay discount printed on the bill.
