Varuna, you'll be so proud

DD came with me to vote last night. I wore her because it's just easier in case of a long line.

Anyway, I got to my polling station, walked in, they gave me my ballot (it was a bubble-fill paper). I took it to the table and as I'm filling it out, DD kept pointing to all of the names on the ballot. All of them except for those on the Republican ticket.

I just kept laughing and then she and I had a long talk on the walk home about her choices. She would start singing every time I said Obama's name.

Re: Varuna, you'll be so proud

  • Yay!  Train them up early and right!

Also, I feel I should point out, I have voted for Republicans in the past.  At this point, it has been awhile b/c I just can't get behind most of the candidates.  I try not to drink the Democrat koolaid, it's just hard to find a Republican (or 3rd party candidate) to support.
  • I agree. I've never voted a straight party ticket. My ballots tend to look like a mid-term scan tron.
  • The Mr. told me I could have almost done a straight ticket...
I told him that I'm ethically opposed to straight tickets, even when my votes look like they should be straight ticket.

He rolled his eyes.  SO I explained the concept to Buffy :-P
