You see a mother putting down her adult daughter, to the point of tears. For a scenario:
Daughter and Mom are at Starbucks. Daughter orders a Frappucino. Mom proceeds to tell her she is fat as it is and shouldn't she just have regular coffee. She has X event coming up and doesn't want to look like a cow, does she?
Do you say anything to either of them?
Why or why not?
H's argument: No, absolutely not, you don't get between a parent and their adult child, ever. It's none of your business.
My argument: Yes, if the daughter didn't say anything I would most likely speak to her. I'm not saying I'd threaten anybody, but I'd certainly say something.
