Why couldn't H have gotten that stupid job out of town? Although I'm thinking I'll have to die to get out of this group.
My chief problem in the group hasn't been to a meeting all year, but never offers an explanation. Meanwhile, she is on FB 24/7. Today alone she has probably made about 20 posts and reposts about flood news in our area (our town is fine, all of these places are 50+ miles away). I sent her a note asking to please get back to me about an event tomorrow night (far from the first message she hasn't responded to) and she did finally reply that she thought she would probably be dropping out because she is too busy right now.
I would be relieved except for that the woman who agreed to take over the president role is her best friend. I really doubt that the new president will stick around if this lady is gone. The other ladies in the group are all 65+. They all have a way of laying the guilt on me big time.
And our big huge service project is launching this week. I told them 10 months ago that I needed to take only a small roll int he project this year because the 20+ hours I ended up spending many weeks last year on top of my 45+ hour/week day job was driving me insane. And the only reason we agreed to take on this project again is because drop out lady said that she would be willing to step it up and that we absolutely should not drop the project. She couldn't have plotted anything more sinister if she tried. She must really hate me.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.
