Eff you, Facebook (and family)

According to my sister's status, my dad and uncle are on the way to my grandparents' (they live ~3 hours away) to pick them up and make them move in with my parents.

They've been going downhill for the last couple years, and we've been trying to talk them into moving back for a long time, but they keep insisting they're fine. My grandmother has been hospitalized a few times and my grandfather has vertigo and falls a lot, but none of that has ever been enough for us to force them back home. So now I'm worried that something really bad happened but of course no one tells me anything.

I just talked to mom. I think the final decision was made this morning.

My grandmother was in the hospital again this week. She has ulcers and general stomach problems. My grandfather is just too weak to completely take care of her anymore. So it's not that this incident is particularly worse than anything in the last few years, it's just kindof the straw that broke the camels back.

My aunt was staying with them while granny was in the hospital. She was discharged yesterday, but last night was just really hard for her I guess. So my aunt made the call and my dad and uncle are going to get her.

My sister's status is something along the lines of "frantically cleaning my room so granny and moredad can move in."

Her room has the attached bath with a shower and no tub, so my grandparents can step in and out of it easily. She's being banished to one of the guest rooms and my grandparents are taking over hers for the time being. It might be temporary. My parents are going to let them decide if they want to stay with them, go into assisted living, or buy a small place in a nearby retirement community.
