Wedding Woes

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

What's up? What's (going) down?

We took DefConn for his first haircut ever last night.   He looks so old now!   He was a trouper, as long as the supply of goldfish crackers kept coming he was OK.  We did take him to a kid's haircut place and she was great and got an even cut even though he was whipping his head back and forth (in an effort to get away from her, LOL).

Yay for haircuts!  I used to tell them "No capes.  No boosters.  He's going to scream so cut fast and I'll tip big.  I don't care if it's straight."

Nothing here.  The big decision is to get dressed and go to the pharmacy now or before lunch.  If we go before lunch I can slip into Panera and get a salad.  If we go now I get it over with.  tough life huh?
  • OMG...He kept freaking out when his hand would get covered up by the cape.   The place we took him has all manner of things for them to sit on/in.  We put him in a car, since we could strap him in securely.
  • I am so.sore.  I started some newfangled program yesterday...and I hurt.  Bad.  But I'm happy about this is some sick way.  *ouch*

  • O-I saw you posting about it on FB.  Good luck with that program!  ;)
  • Mrs C, you're such an over-sharer! I can't believe you posted that online!

  • I remember my mom giving my little brothers lopsided haircuts while they slept.

  • LOL!   Thanks for the heads up.   That never fails to make me giggle.  :)

Yay for first haircut.   He looks adorable.  Not that he doesn't normally look adorable!

DD needs her first haircut, and I want to just do it myself but DH won't let me.  I'm afraid of what will happen when we try to get her to sit still and someone comes at her with scissors...   BUT, DH took her to they eye doctor yesterday and she did really well, so maybe a haircut won't be that bad.

we have to find a haircut place. the "no boosters, no cape, big tip" line might work for us.

new DCP has been working with us to accomodate our needs and worries, and i believe as of today all issues are resolved. he's finally back in his little school, so my hope today is that all goes well and we can get back to our normal routine.

also, i am planning this week's shopping trip and work is getting in the way.
  • My DD has never had a haircut either, AF.  DH and I are both ready now, but we just haven't found time to do it.  Hell, *my* hair hasn't been cut since Feb.

AF, H wants me to be the one to give him the haircut. i am not so sure i want that responsibility. also, i need baby scissors for that task. maybe i'll add that to my shopping list...
  • Oh gah...DH and I know neither one of us could cut hair.  The kid would be down an eye or something.  We'll leave it to the pros.

i like that it's still long, conn. he didn't lose his curls!
  • I give DH and son their haircuts, but I don't want to touch the girls' hair.
  • We were very specific with the stylist because we just wanted to clean it up/get the hair out of his eyes.

I hope his curls stay for.ev.er.  I love them so much.
  • Yay for first haircut!! LO was great with hers both times. But there's no cape, stylist works fast and is ber conscious not to make any of the hair cutting experience scary. And he said no wet cuts until LO's at least 4 or so...today's task...work. Bleh.....oh and a question to conn... Did mama cry????

  • No crying.  I think DH had a harder time with it than me.  :)
