BR Sort of - Hair Loss

My hair has been falling out for over a little while now. I normally lose quite a bit of hair, but the amount has doubled recently. I know it's normal after pregnancy, but when does it stop?

I've been taking vitamins, but they haven't seemed to help much.

My hair loss started after about 8 weeks and ended at 8 or 9 months.  I never realized how much it was until I looked at pictures of myself.   It's over 2 years later and I still have some really thin patches.   :(

:::Adding this to the CON list of having another baby.::::

i was not aware of how much hair i had until i saw it all lying on the floor and in my hairbrush.

i've leveled off now, about 5 1/2 months later.

Mine finally quit a few months after weaning DD.  It takes a while for your hormones to sort themselves out.  And then you'll have that lovely above-the-ear new-growth bozo fro.  Sexy!  ;)

HA. Yeah. The hair loss is bad. But the regrowth is pretty awful.  Desmond is 16 months old, and I am just getting to the point where I can sortof disguise them as bangs (and he was weaned at 2m, thanks to my useless bewbs. So BFers mileage may definitely vary).

It stopped for me after Dex when I suddenly found myself pregnant again 5.5 months postpartum.  It took longer with Desmond, but not too much, IIRC. Maybe 7 months? 8?

Vitamins will help, but estrogen will help even more. If you're BFing, estrogen is a no-no, but weaning and/or resumption of BCPs will definitely make the hair loss stop, whenever you get around to those things. :)

i also got two tooth drilled, thanks to baby stealing all my calcium.  (btw, my boss told me that women in remote areas generally go blind due to baby stealing all the vitamin a.  i work for debbie downer, yo.)

dr. crentist told me that he could tell me hormones were all over the place because of all the blood gushing from my gums while he flossed me.  <-- with dental floss in my teeth, you pervs.

Interesting.  My dentist told me the calcium in my teeth was not bioavailable, since it'd already been crystallized (or something). That baby couldn't steal it.  (I was a walking toothache during the early months of my pregnancy with Desmond. I could tell my body didn't have enough resources built back up for the poor boy.)

Still, I'm sure he took everything that *was* available, and there was not much left for me to add to my teeth and bones.

I can't WAIT for my hair to start falling out.  It never did with M1, boy how I hope it does this time.  My hair is OUT OF CONTROL.
