We watched Sunday's episode last night.  Was that the season finale?  I won't spoil anything until I know you are all caught up.

What did you think of this season?  There were some funny ones, but we felt it was mostly weird and depressing.

Yes, I watched the last 2 yesterday. It was a very dark season. 

I felt like Jessa was only there because she was on the show last season, but she didn't really have a storyline beyond her marriage going down the shitter fast.  I know that Jemima Kirke was (is still?) pregnant during filming, but it seems like they just shuffled her off. 

Marnie's exhausting.  I feel like she learned nothing about herself this season and was just biding her time to get back together with Charlie. 

Shoshanna is my favorite character on the show and I think she was the best part of the show this season.  I loved the dynamic between her and Ray.  I also liked that she told him to eff off after awhile because he is a bitter asshole.

Hannah...Ugh.  Does she ever have fun?  Does she question happiness/good things every time?  I feel bad that her OCD came back so bad.  Her parents piss me off.   The ear thing was so gross. 

Adam...another ugh.  I do not get how people can find him sexy.  That last sex scene with him and his GF in "On All Fours" (second to last episode) was disturbing.  Like, I could not stop thinking about it yesterday.  I read a few blogs that picked apart that scene vs. the one at the start of the episode and whether or not it's rape or what. 

I don't know my opinion...But it makes me want to sit the kiddo down and explain that it's not a 'yes' or 'no' thing and you have to make sure your partner is into it even if you had sex with them before.  But you know, he's 12...So that needs to wait a few years.  It definitely gave me another facet of discussion to tuck away and go over in the future with him.

I was surprised to see Natalia having sex with Adam again in this last episode.  I figured it would be over after "On All Fours".  I mean, kinkiness is great (if that's what that was) but she was not cool with it at all.  I assumed she was done with him.

Adam says things that make me laugh, but only because he's saying them to someone else and I know it's tv.

I can't stand Hannah.  Really.  She was much better last season.  The whole thing with the doctor was ridiculous.

I feel like Marnie and Charlie are MFEO.  I don't think he has changed all that much, aside from the successful app.  She's the same as she's always been, if not a little worse. So why not get back together? SMH

Jessa had no story.  I didn't know she was pregnant, so maybe that's why her character was so boring.

Yes, Hannah was very annoying.  Yes, Adam does have funny lines.  

I've never thought Jessa was funny.  Marnie was funny because of her reaction to situations she couldn't control.  Shoshanna's funny because she's so earnest.  Hannah has been so depressing that I can't remember her being funny.  

I guess this season really showed Lena's inexperience because the stories didn't make sense and/or the character's storylines fell apart in a way.

Yeah, not a very good flow this season. 

Have you seen her movie Tiny Furniture?  It's streaming on Netflix.  We turned it on last weekend and could only watch the first 15 minutes before we gave up on it.

I have not watched it or tried to find it.  It doesn't really hold any interest for me.  

I'll be curious to see if the writing staff turnover helps to bring some cohesiveness to the show.
