in Wedding Woes
dh and i are one chipped bowl away from converting over to our apilco dinnerware. 

we ate off two chipped salad plates and two chipped soup bowls, and we noticed a snack bowl has a crack in it that just needs a good thump to snap it in half.

i am looking forward to this change.  i like to eat off nice plates.  maybe tonight i will break some things.

    Note to self:  don't let MrsMyrtle near any future babies of mine.   Even if she does take awesome photosgraphs.

    Hmo- what brand are the plates that are chipping?

    they're thomson; dh picked up a "service for 8" pack at kohl's or target or something.  they're stoneware, so they're not as strong as porcelain anyway.

    Maybe you could break them up and use the pieces to make a mosaic or something. A tribute to Ragean for your H, maybe?

    Stoneware or china?   We use Halo from C&B as our everyday dishes and I love how they are holding up.  The stoneware stuff I had was terrible for chipping (and I think it was just as expensive).

    We also have a few cheapo Corelle dishes that I use for microwaving.
