WDWWT, glasses opinions

you know more or less what I look like--there are pics of me on FB.

I'm ready for new glasses--and I lost my shades so I NEED to get something ASAP anyhow.

This is reasonably close to waht I have now:

(the earpieces on mine are a bit thinner and they're more-or-less tortise?  they're kinda wood- grained-looking)

I am pretty open to suggestions, but am looking at:

C:

So...do any of the above suck to badly?

I know, I need to quit online shopping and go try some on.

Ths website also lets you upload a picture and 'try on' the glasses...I need a straight on, no head tilt, no glasses pictuer of me to try taht with.

Yes, I would have to see them on you, but I'm kind of digging a & c.  But I wear corderoy pants, so don't listen to me.

A- Not bad.  As long as they aren't TOO big.
B- No
C. - If you have a bad prescription that would be a tough frame.  THe lenses may chip easily too
D- That's kinda trendy right now.  Good if you buy glasses every couple of years.  There is no nose piece though.  If you have a thin nose that could be bad and it makes adjusting harder.

So either a or b, but definitly try on.

I have a pair right now similar to D and I like them. I haven't had any issues with the nose piece not fitting me, but I can see how it could be an issue for some. Can you get out and try some on for us? It would really help.

Jojo- I have a freakishly thin bridge so it's something I consider.  Frames like that slip constantly.

Now I want new glasses.  Mine are almost 4 yrs old.

are contacts an option? that's what i'd do if i ever needed glasses.

I'm going to have to pay out of pocket because the reimbursement amt is kinda crummy but thse are at least 3 years old and I need sunglasses...seems dumb to spend $40 for new 'magnet stick on sunglasses' for them and not just get the whole shebang.

I don't have a super narrow nose but I DO have fit issues w/ glasses, I might need mroe adjustment than D has.

Yeah, this pair is a couple of years old, I need an eye exam and a new pair. Especially my contacts...lately I do not have the best distance vision with them.

no contacts.  I have done them but I really struggle--I have that pesky eyeball phobia and they give me headaches.  

And I would have to take them out EVERY time I walked into a lab.  So in and out dozens of times a week @ work--which is why I quit 'em.

I did see the doc and my 'script is the same, so that's good--that way I'll have a 'backup' pair.
