Goldilocks poll

A woman down the street just had a baby.  We talk when out walking, but we don't hang out (maybe one day).  I wanted to do a little something so was thinking: a small fruit basket (a couple each apples, bananas, pears, etc.) an 8x8 pan of brownies, a little book for the baby, and a card with our names and number if she needs anything so.

So goldilocks style:

hmm. I voted "too much," but I don't think it's WAY too much or anything.  I just know how a "simple" fruit basket can add up.

When we were building the house, we got each of our new neighbors a "simple" fruit basket to say hi and sortof apologize for all of the construction noise and dirt.  by the time I got the baskets (simple white plastic ones from old time pottery), the paper shreds to put in the baskets, a couple each of apples, pears, oranges, etc. and a pack of lindor truffles, and some other stuff, I probably spent $30 or more per basket, plus the time/stress of putting it together and making sure I had everything just right.

I think brownies, baby book, and note with your name/# would be more than enough.

I already have the basket and I wasn't going to do the paper or anything- 6-10 pieces of fruit that looks good.  I just remember wanting something fresh after 6let.  I see the dad running and the mom was clearly fit so I had an impression they were healthy eaters.  Hmmmm.
