Avatar. What a suck-tastic movie. Maybe because I didn't see it in 3D or whatever. But seriously, it was stupid.

The Hurt Locker. MFing awesome. I can see why it won the awards it did.

    thank you.  dh gets all het up when ads come on for the blu-ray and yells at the tv, "you suck!"

    I didn't get the big deal about Avatar, either.  Then, I usually don't get the big deal about any of James Cameron's movies (fell asleep during Titanic).

    Totally agree with PMeg  on The Hurt Locker as well - awesome movie.  And Jeremy Renner is H-O-T.

    Jeremy Renner is totally hot, but he looks *exactly* like an old coworker's awesomely funny husband. 

    And I actually thought Avatar was okay. I went into it knowing it was going to be a cheesefest, so I just enjoyed the effects.

    I haven't seen either of these. Avatar just looked dumb to me, and I won't watch anything remotely scary or violent.

    Seeing Public Enemies last summer was a stretch for me. The early parts had DH thinking that we might have to leave.

    DH asked me if I wanted to buy the Avatar DVD.  I reminded him that I didn't like the movie all that much in the theater and that we rarely watch any of the DVDs we already own anyway, so no.  He said, "Oh, I don't mean to watch it, I thought it could be a collectors item one day." 

    I swear, other people in the store stopped what they were doing in order to stare at him with me in disbelief of this stupidity.

    Oh, and also, did anyone else see Avatar themed cupcakes and sheet cakes for sale in their supermarket bakeries on DVD release day?    I was all Surprised.

    Avatar was supposed to be coming to the Red Box but when I went to rent it it wasn't there. I think they contracted to NOT get into the redbox and now I'm pissed. I wont watch it if it's not in there.
