Now, I love these people, so I'm not going to personally make fun of them, but I will take lots of pictures for you.  Y'all already know I'm a nerd anyway.

I have a friend getting married in October.  The theme is medievel, with coplay encouraged.  However, the medieval can cross all genres (movies, games, comics, etc), so medieval Batman is encouraged.

I think I am going to make a huge Renaissance gown for myself.  I've always wanted one and never had the opportunity.  DH said, "What am I going to wear?"  I said, "Who cares?".  I got in trouble for that one, so I have to come up with something for him.  He's actually thinking about one of the Assassin's Creed characters.

FWIW, I can give some minimal advice on sewing men's ren. faire style pants--the 'poofy' ones are easy-peasy.

Y'know, LS some of them might be pretty good.  It's quite the level of nerdom for this particular group of friends.  A lot of them cosplay already and LARP, so you never know.

But I KNOW there is going to be some completely laugh worthy stuff too.

I agree. I think there are probably going to be people who put time and thought into what they wear and it will look awesome, like you. I can't wait to see what you make.

And then I think there will be people who do something ridiculous and put as little time into it as possible. Those will be the funny ones.

Hm....I can't picture anyone doing Starfleet.  But you never know!
