I just called and asked the hospital if they would discount my remaining balance if I came by to pay it today. They said yes, 30%. That is awesome, and now we will have one less bill each month. I can put that $$ towards my student loans or savings :)

    Most definitely.  Our hospital prints right on the bill a 20% discount for paying within 30 days.  I just put it on my discover, get the cash back and the extra time too.
