Weird question:  did it smell okay?  I always wonder about building restorations/conservations like that.  When they upkeep it, but remain historically accurate I usually don't smell anything funny.  But sometimes they actually try to keep the historical fabrics and stuff and I just can't stand the smell of old fabric.

Those grounds are beautiful.

V, it didn't. They did have a few windows open. I didn't get that old smell.

Ooo, those doors!  Beautiful (I have an obsession with doors, especially in foreign countries).

Mine started in Ireland with the "Doors of Dublin" stuff.  We walked through the neighborhood that started it.

Then it just stayed.  I even notice doors in movies and stuff.  The door in the house Phil was showing in the last Modern Family was gorgeous!
