Wedding Woes

I need to ask a TMI question about being PG. Sorry

I try not to do that to much here but, WWers have done this before so I figured it's less skeery than the daytime bump.

Is sudden need to vomit every time I lay down normal?
Gotta say:
a) I don't like it and
b) it's REALLY annoying because I"m already not sleeping...this is adding to it.
c) now I talk like a truckdriver because my throat is burned,

Every 2 hours, only while laying down (horizontal = bad.  I DO have a gazillion pillows stacked to try to deal w/ heartburn but there's a limit to how vertical I can sleep--especially w/ how my back is feeling) I throw-up in my mouth a bit.  Wake up choking, and then start this process over again.
(and I did NOT eat or drink right before bed--it feels like just being 'over full' but I"m not, IMO.  I had some nesquick and milk about 1.5 hrs before bed and a *small* glass of water right before bed)

you got some killer heartburn/reflux going on there.  and yeah, it's kind of normal at this stage.  there isn't a whole lot of room for your stomach, and the baby is probably putting pressure on your innards making you feel quesey.

same shiot is happening to me on occasion.  the other night i started choking and seriously felt like i was going to barf.

the good news is, as soon as that baby is out, all of this will go away.

i woke up with reflux a few nights ago - it was the first time all pregnancy. i was eating tums and rolaid chews like candy.

one of my friends was having issues with hearburn and reflux towards the end of her pregnancy and she heard that eating a combo of apples and almonds before bed, and sleeping slightly elevated will help. it worked for her. i tried it the next few nights and haven't had any issues.

prevacid is allowed so I've been doing that...it helps the pain but not the mini-pukes.

I see the doc on Friday...

Try some bread to soak up the acid as the last thing you eat before you lay down.  Try this about 20 minutes prior to bed and see if it helps.

It should absorb the acid in there.  It works for me whenever I had the "valurbs" (vomit-burps)

Yes, I had this. I didn't have a lot of room for Mr. Chubby to expand out in so I had bad heartburn and got the same thing. I took Zantac religiously and that helped a lot, but I still needed my Tums.
