Doctors found a 2cm mass on my GFIL's lung. They did a PET scan the other day to make sure that it was contained so they can discuss treatment options. They saw something in his colon, and diagnosed it as colon cancer.
He had a colonoscopy today -- no colon cancer. Just diverticulitis.
Now it's only the one type of cancer. It's still going to be a battle, but less so. DH's parents are so relieved.
