Wedding Woes

How is it only Tuesday?

Between DH not being here Sunday and doing a million things yesterday it seems like it should be Friday.  It's also sad that I'm already trying to figure out what to wear to my reunion....in June.

Re: How is it only Tuesday?

  • All the cute spring stuff is out now.  It's the time to look.  :)

And yes, it does seem like it should be later than Tuesday.   Since we're in the waiting game now, each day is probably going to seem quite long.

But I want to lose 20 lbs by then!

I also wish MIL would leave me alone about Skype.  They don't talk to the kids in person, why does she want to do it on the computer.  I'm also afraid I won't get a moments peace with it.
  • We only skype with my SIL and nieces.   They live in FL.

Your MIL sees your kids regularly.  And really, it will take about 5 secs for M2 to get bored.  It may take 6let a few minutes, but he'll get bored too.  So then it's just you sitting in front of MIL  and  trying to get M3 to smile or do something cute so you don't have to talk to her.

    Avoid MIL skyping.  ;)

That's exactly what I picture.  Skyping the brother in NC, sure.  MIL NO.  I may be wrong, but won't she also know if I'm ignoring her?  Like on messenger she could see I was on, but not "picking up?"

You could just set your Skype preferences to not automatically start up.  Whoops, you keep forgetting to turn the dang thing on.

    That's what I do, anyway.

ETA:  Or you can hide yourself/appear offline.
  • This is why I refuse to use any sort of messenging service that is instantaneous.  Ugh.

    I can't believe it's only Tuesday either.

This whole daylight savings thing is a joke.  Asshats.

Also, June is coming up, I can feel it.  So I don't blame you, AND you have time for 20 lbs...yep.  Might as well try, right?  :)

I was kinda joking about the 20 lbs.
  • I wish it were Friday already.  I am done with this week.  So done.

I have a reunion coming up in September.  I weigh 50 lbs more than I did in HS, so I'm hoping to shed at least 10 lbs, if not 15 or 20.   It's not that I care what they think (because most of them can see me on FB) but it's a good goal to have.  And doable.  And if I do lose a lot, I have an excuse to buy a new dress - and really, that's the important thing here.  :)
  • I was gonna say, 6.  You've lost a bit of weight already, right?  And you mentioned you were close to your goal weight.  *D'OH* for me being an eternal cheerleader.

I'm a little off my prepreg wt, but I'm still really squishy and would like to get another 10 off.  The diabetes was harder o control this time and I worry about it becoming permanent.  I've been trying to remember to do some abs.  I need to start getting on a schedule.
  • MIL Skyped DH last night. She wanted to talk to DS but DH lied and said he was asleep because he didn't want to talk to her. Most of the time, Skype is fine- we just don't have it start up automatically.

Between 2 computers, the ipad, and the phone, it always looks like I'm on Skype. But people quickly learn that it isn't really true.

Also, we skype with my parents a lot, and the boys do kindof get bored with it fast. Half the time, I just set up the laptop so my parents can see the whole playroom, and they watch the boys run around. Every once in a while, they'll come up and say, "Hey! Look at this transformer!" then move right back to what they were doing.

But my parents are really into my kids. They're happy to just watch them play once every week or two. And they live 700 miles away, so they don't see them in person more than once every 2 months or so. (which is still more than MIL and FIL do, and they live 20 miles away)
