Groom Does the Planning

Who are other couples out there where the fiancee(the dude) does the planning in a male-female couple? She helps, but I (man) have taken primary responsibility becuase I am more of a planner and I have a more flexibile work schedule. We decide everything as a couple, though.

We have experiecned some interesting moments as florists, cake people, photogrpahers, or pretty much anyone asks her questions but not me. The tuxedo rental woman looked at my mother (who was visiting from out of state so tagged along) instead of me when asking about colors and style.

Just curious . . .

How is this a woe, exactly?

Also, "the dude" = fiance.  One E.

Now you know what women feel like in just about every other situation in the universe - buying a car, buying a TV, walking through Home Depot, talking to a financial planner...

    Really, it'll be OK.

Sorry about the spelling; I get used to writing about her.

Not a "woe", i guess, but I didn't know where else to post. Kind if annoying, though.

Well, dude, most vendors are just used to dealing with the bride. Not a big deal, just politely inform them that you are perfectly capable of making decisions.

if they're not actually listening to you, this is a problem.  speak up.

if they are listening to you and taking your suggestions and requests, no one cares and you are being a whiny brat.  YOU GET ONE DAY.  we don't know you.  you feel sorry for our husbands.  (what else did i miss?)

Wow... people... he wasn't looking for help, or pity... he was trying to find other men to talk to... an odd attempt on this website perhaps, but still... calm down.

Instead of "lurk before you post," I'm just going to say LBYP from now on.
