Wedding Woes

Well then

Had a doctor's appt today, u/s to check for growth since I have GD.

We actually got lots of good pics this time and she did a couple 3D images just for fun. She was nice so I joked that she needed to make sure it was a girl because I am paranoid. Good thing, since it turns out Sophia is actually an Ethan.

You could see the little peen really clearly. I'm still in shock, but at least we know now and not at delivery? And wtf @ the last u/s?

He's healthy, weighs 2lbs and his legs are loooong. I mean, duh, daddy is 6'8.

If H gets off his ass and does high res scans of the images I'll post later on.

Nothing on FB yet please, we haven't told everyone.

Well that's a surprise!  I'm glad it was now and not in the delivery room.  Yay for a healthy baby.

Awh. That's so funny! I'm glad they noticed it now and not in the midst of you giving birth!

    Congratulations on your baby boy!

My BFF's cousin is due in Sept, and was told she was having a boy. Nope -- turns out she's having a girl, after a few months and a better look at it.

This is why I'm not convinced that I really am carrying Mr. Loverman and not a Little Loveshine. My gender US is on Thursday, but who knows?

good thing you double checked! Guess he just had everything "tucked" for the 20W US.

maybe your hubby willed the peen into existance - it's like when the Simpsons did Henry VIII:
Marge: It's not your fault. It's just that you came out the wrong sex and ruined everything.
Homer: So grow a penis or get lost.
    Lisa(grunts and struggles) I can't.
    Homer: Bye bye!

Autumn is actually at the in law's until Wednesday, so we will tell her then. I can't imagine trying to explain that over the phone.

I guess I just tell her that the baby "has a tail" like she thought her little cousin did when she saw me changing his diaper.

The gender u/s was at 17-18 weeks so maybe that was even a little too early. Who knows.

We only have a few outfits to exchange, so it's not like we have to take back bedding or anything big.

And hey, I guess we can try for a 3rd at some point so I can get a little Sophie one day.

H is just glad he's healthy. I am too. It's just so shocking because we were leaning toward girl, then we found out it was a girl so we were really excited and now it's just like, wahpow- boy. I'm excited but I need to get used to it. (I feel like this makes me an asshole that it's so shocking to me)

H is like "oooh, we can do a hockey room, or football, or...."

me- um, NO. I will still be picking out the decor.

Dude, you thought you had a girl inside you, and now you were surprised with a new gender. It is OK to take some time to get used to it. It doesn't make you and asshole that you are shocked - it makes you A PERSON.
