No new baby goodness.  No Ali GTG.

DefConn puked at daycare and has a fever.  I'm suspecting an ear infection. 

His third in 3 mos...or maybe it's the 4th.

I'm betting DH is having the tubes talk with the Dr.

Poor little guy   As long as he feels better soon, that's all that matters.

As someone who has minor hearing loss from too many childhood ear infections- get the tubes. He'll feel better and you'll feel better.

I think we're going to, PMeg.  The suck part about his last few EI's is that he's gotten them on the weekends or after my Dr's office hours, so we've had to take him to medcheck.  She hasn't seen him personally for one in months.   But we have taken him to the medcheck in our network, so it should  be in his file.

Poor sweetie. My BIL had the tubes after constant ear infections. It really helped him.

I think I posted this in someone's wedding thread, but DD's best friend just got the tubes (and her adenoids out at the same time) and her mom was sort of anxious beforehand, but she came through beautifully and is doing great.

I think I'm the only person who's ever had a "bad" experience with the inner ear tubes I've ever heard of and it's not even a bad story.

Basically, they're suppose to fall out somehow and go away when you grow up; mine didn't.  I had some severe jaw pain suddenly one day when I was around 14-15ish.  PCP looked in my ears, sent me to the ENT specialist.  He basically shot my ear full of saline, let it soak and took the tube out in the office.  Pain was immediately gone.  He checked the other ear, just b/c and sure enough, it was still there too.  They were gross, but it wasn't any big deal once the pain stopped.

I'm sorry your little bear is sick.  

And I'm sorry your weekend plans had to change.  My little one threw up today, too.  I'm kind of scared to go home.  I'm not sure how well DH cleaned things up.
