Wedding Woes

So, my kid is a string bean

A skinny little string bean.  25th percentile for weight (and head circumference), 95th for height.  She's an inch away from outgrowing most 12M clothes, height-wise, but she hasn't yet reached the bottom of the 12M weight range.  At least it's getting warm and she'll be in capris/shorts/skirts, which are a little more flexible in terms of length.

Her pediatrician was fine with it, though.  She's always been on the skinny side, DH and I were both skinny until puberty (me)/mid-20's (him, when his metabolism slowed down), and she's crazy active these days and never sits still.  Not even when she sleeps.

Leave her with me. I'll plump her up in no time. I was the same as a baby (if you can believe that) until my Granny got a hold of me. Icecream for everybody!

She's a super cutie pie.  L is growing fast right now, too.

Also, she has a gimpy crawl - she leaves her right foot on the floor and scoots around on her left leg...  kind of like she's in a proposal stance.

Well, she does love avocado.  You wouldn't know it to look at her, but she does.

Nico, that is hilarious to picture.  Maddie can scoot backwards and rock on her hands and knees, but she hasn't figured out how to move forward.  She also recently figured out how to scoot backwards on her butt when she's sitting.

I love the scooting - so cute.  L's going to be walking soon, I'm sure.  She's already hoisting herself up on everything and is a crawling maniac.  She mastered sitting herself up this weekend, so now we're really in trouble - she can go from flat on her back to standing in her crib.

remind me how old those behbehs are?

We got skinny news from the pedi last week, too. Des is only 65th %ile for weight. 97th for height.  Which is not crazy in itself, except that Dex was 98 weight, 98 height at the same age - three full pounds heavier. Which is a lot when you're talking 15 vs 18 pounds.
