My mother in law just purchased a dress that she claims costs $1,000 full retail and I am worried that she is trying to compete with my bridesmaids dresses and possibly even my own wedding dress.
My wedding dress is diamond white and is strapless with crystal beading across the chest and an intricate design that flows down to the bottom of the dress. The train also has the same design and stretches out about 12 inches. The dress was originally $1,000 marked down to $250.00 at a bridal store. The colors of my wedding are champagne and apple red.
My bridesmaids are wearing satin and organza strapless gowns with a beaded inset on the chest and down one side.
My Mother in law's dress has beading and a black flower pattern down the entire front and a small train all around the bottom of it. I don't think people will mistake her for the bride but her dress is certainly fancier and that's not how it's supposed to be.
Should I say something to her or let it go?
