    She doesn't look big enough to grasp the seahorse, much less show a marked preference for it.

    Someone (maybe the carribbean board) had a discussion just recently about forcing attachment toys/blankets/whatever on their kids.

    I forced a toy on Jake, as much as one can. I would put it in his crate with him every night. Now it is his favorite toy. We've had at least 3 dozen versions of the same toy.

    Those people are seahorse crazy.  Maddie never had one and seems to have survived infancy.

    Whoever posted that is clearly delusional about the newborn psyche.

    nah. The seahorse is just the giraffe (Sophie!) for infants.  Sophie is still sophie for teething babies around 8m old.

    Srsly, Sophie is so loved in my house.  But we never had the seahorse and managed OK.
