The new 'will a thong strangle my baby?'

Pants stunting baby's growth?

My mother told me today that wearing regular pants will stunt the growth of the baby. She didn't tell me that with my other two pregnancies, and I had no problems with growth with the last two... Anyone heard of this before and is there any validity to her claims? I'm only 8 weeks and hoping to not have to wear maternity pants for at least another 10 weeks or so. :/

Wow. I ask stupid preg questions (to my mom or Jojo!) but really? If you can fit into them and are comfortable wear them. Either way your kid is going to grow.

And this is the mother of 3. ~puke~

I don't see the correlation between regular pants and babies growing.

This woman can't really believe that maternity pants and their annoying panel have ANYTHING to do with the growth of a baby in utero.

That's true, Zzilla.  I don't understand why she's hellbent on wearing 'regular' pants unitl week 18.

I'm pretty sure it is best to go pantless during pregnancy.  You don't want to suffocate the baby.

and if this is #3 the liklihood is that she'll be in maternity clothes much sooner than 18 weeks due to her uterus being predisposed to stretching early as a result of the previous pregnancies.
