Wedding Woes

Random note about Ragnar

One of my team members was observing Ramadan.  I was amazed and completely awed by his devotion.  He didn't eat from 4:15 until 8:15 at night.  And completed his legs with lots of energy and a smile on his face.

I commended him, because I'm sure he gets lots of head-tilts and whys during his daily conversations.

I said random, didn't I?

You know, I've never thought about it.

He's also had gastric bipass or lap band surgery, so I'm sure that doesn't help either.

I could go without eating, but the no drinking thing would kill me.  I'm glad Jesus lets us drink, even during Lent.

I only know from being a nurse. I've seen patients who don't even know. We had a pregnant woman in for IV fluids she was so sick with MS and then trying to observe Ramadan on top of that. She couldn't hydrate enough could barely keep what food she was eating down.

I was gonna say, it has to be a lot like Catholic fasting.

I never fast. It's not mentally healthy for me, and not physically healthy for anyone who comes within punching distance of me, so I figure God'll give me a pass.
