DH and I spent too much money, but had fun doing it.

I definitely need to get on the ball making some freezeable meals so we have quick easy stuff to make after DefConn is here. Sam's and Meijer lub us, I'm sure.
I went to Penney's yesterday. I bought a new purse for me, a crib sheet, rompers, socks, and little gowns with the foldover sleeves for DefConn. DH bought some polo shirts.
FIL's b-day was OK. I left the party at about 10:15 on Saturday night because I was tired and fantasizing about my empty, quiet house. I left the kiddo and DH there to spend the night and went back to get them yesterday morning.
MIL brought up painting the kiddo's room *again*. She tried to 'schedule' it into March 5th. I shut that isht down fast as that's the day I have my work baby shower and then we're having the kiddo's rescheduled sleep over. She tried to tell me to reschedule the kiddo's sleepover to the next weekend (to which I almost came unglued because a) it was rude of her, b) I have to work that weekend, and c) I'll be full-term that weekend). DH thankfully stepped in and told her we're probably not going to worry about the kiddo's room at all until after DefConn is born. I know she's trying to be helpful and that's why I've been so patient with this BS, but maybe yelling at her, like I want to, will get the fcking point across. I'm tempted to ask my dad what weekend works for him to come paint the kiddo's room while I'm on maternity leave just spite MIL.
And then last night was the start of the new Amazing Race, which always makes me happy.
