i hate the olympics. they bore me. i feel very unpatriotic, but i can't wait for them to be over.

and vollyball annoys me that it is an olympic sport. they created a "beach" in a closed arena. lame.

also lame is the winter olympic sport played by out of shape 40 year old women. curling, i think it's called?

i like the swimming in the sense that i understand why they are olympic sports.

this does not mean i expect people to stop talking about it at all. i just don't share any love for the olympics. i also can't stand most sports in general.

I watch it because it's every 4 years...but I don't make much of an effort.  And I'm peeved that the only tings I see are sprots I'm super 'meh' about.  Like floor routines 9sorry)

The only reason I like the Olympics is because I think it's a healthy avenue for nationalism to take place instead of wars.  Competition between countries is always going to happen, I'd rather it this way than between armies.

I have no interest in watching it though.  I haven't watched any of it and this is the first time I don't even really know any of the atheletes at all.

I'm with you. I haven't watched a single event, and I don't care to. I'm also annoyed at how it's all over my twitter and facebook feed as well as all of the news channels. If I wanted to know the outcome of every.single.event I'd turn on the tv like everyone else!

You know what pisses me off?  The Olympics only happen every two years, and still coverage HAS to be pre-empted by utter sh*t like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy Kids' Week.  But of course, f*cking FOOTBALL pre-empts everything, every damn week, every damn year.
