in Wedding Woes

Two weeks ago, I bought DH and I tickets to a concert in June.  It's our favorite band and I haven't been to a concert since before DD1 was born.

We found out last night that DD1's first ballet recital will be that day.  No concert for us.

I am very much looking forward to her ballet-cuteness, but I need to sulk about the concert for a while.

    Booooo.  You should throw a fit and insist the ballet studio reschedule the recital.

    I say demand a change :0P

    (no, really, a teacher/parent tried to do that to me yesterday.  Dude, this is version 30of the schedule, YES it competed w/ your stupid band event but 1-we scheduled ours first, make BAND move and 2-there is literally NOT a weekend in a 6 week window of weekends that I had to choose from where SOMEONE doesn't have a conflict)

    We couldn't make both.  The recital is in the afternoon (ballet teacher couldn't give us a specific time - understandable in March) and the concert is in Milwaukee at 7:30.  It would be a 3.5 hour drive for us.
