Re: Am I a size 4? 8? 10?

  • At Target alone, I'm 3 different sizes, depending on which measurement I choose to fit. I don't quite understand the fuss about this all of a sudden. Haven't we all learned to work around this crap? Even in plus sizes, which I've found to be a lot more standard, there are differences from store to store and style to style. Hell, even hand-making garments isn't an answer.

And before people are all, but men don't deal with it! - Yes, they do. My H is not a consistent size from store to store or brand to brand, either. He spends more time trying things on than I do.

  • They happened to do an article on this on GMA this morning.  Found at the King of Prussia megamall

Assuming it works as advertised, it scans your body for all sorts of measurements, runs a report that suggests cuts of clothing that are flattering (theoretically) and actually fit the body type and gives a list of which stores actually stock said items (and what size number it would be).  Granted it's advertising for all the stores that participate, but hell, anything to reduce wasted shopping time (or getting heartbroken at the trendy store because they won't fit your a$$)

  • I would LOVE to use the body scan thing. I don't have time to try on 3 of the same pairs of pants to get the right fit. Hopefully that works out for her.
