I don't keep up incredibly well on here with reviews, but a friend recommended Winter's Bone and I rented it this weekend.
I did say "recommend" in the other post, but I figure it deserved it's own post.
This movie is gripping, but not in a flashy-explosive kind of way. More in the "wtf is going on?" type of way. It seems very authentic and Jennifer Lawrence is amazing.
Meth-heads are abound and no children are killed during this movie.
